hi-res_headshot.jpgTim Probst has created scholarship programs that moved more than 100 at-risk high school students into skilled careers at local businesses.  He has built government accountability systems, expanded occupational training, helped people escape poverty through skills and work, and fought for reforms to reduce the influence of money in politics.

                                

Tim has worked as the CEO of the Washington Workforce Association, budget analyst, and government policy analyst.  He has served as Legislative Chair of the National Workforce Association, and as a member of the Clark County Skills Center Foundation, the Labor Roundtable, the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce’s Public Affairs Committee, and the state’s oversight board for dropout prevention programs.

Tim earned his degree in Government and International Relations from the University of Notre Dame, and graduated with honors.  He also studied the politics and economics of the European Union at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. 

 

Tim has worked as a state budget analyst, a state legislative liaison, and was the Assistant to the Governor of Illinois for Welfare Reform and Workforce Development.

Both Notre Dame graduates, Tim and Tahira have been married 14 years and have four children, Alli, Charlotte, Aaron, and Ginny.  The Probsts enjoy reading, skiing and backpacking together.
